November

As of November 1, 2026.

Welcome to November!

The momentum from earlier in October did not carry through, and both Bitcoin and Ethereum finished lower.

Bitcoin lost about 7.2% in October. Ethereum dropped roughly 16%. Most altcoins started outperforming BTC and ETH, so that is a good sign.

Going into November, I’m watching whether the market can settle, whether buyers start coming back, and whether Ethereum and the altcoins keep participating.

The market right now

October brought volatility back. It started off strong, and then the broader markets, including the stock market, had a selloff to end the month.

U.S. spot Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs are still what to watch. Steady inflows mean interest is growing. Sustained outflows mean demand is fading. I’ll be watching the latest flow numbers as November goes on.

The economy matters here too.

The Federal Reserve left rates unchanged at its October 28 meeting. The target range stays at 3.75%–4%. Inflation is still elevated, and the next decision depends on the data that comes in.

Market sentiment

Sentiment cooled as we ended October, but that is often when things start to move to the upside.

The Fear & Greed Index started November at 34.

Sentiment can change fast in crypto. A real shift in confidence usually needs the price to improve with it.

Bitcoin

Bitcoin had a sideways, choppy October and finished the month down about 7.2%.

The question now is whether BTC can find support and start building momentum again.

I’m watching the $75K–$77K level to hold and keep building strength.

Bitcoin’s direction still pulls the rest of the market with it.

Ethereum

This is the more interesting part.

ETH had the same kind of October as BTC, and it finished down about 16% from the start of the month. Ethereum has usually been the coin that gets the rest of the altcoin market moving.

The price recovery matters. So does ETH against BTC. If Ethereum starts outperforming Bitcoin, that is a better sign for the rest of the market.

For now, the first job is to stabilize. Then a recovery that holds.

The rotation

This is still one of the most important things to watch.

Bitcoin recovering by itself does not mean the whole market is recovering.

I want to see Ethereum, Solana, XRP, Cardano, and the other large coins participate.

If Bitcoin dominance starts falling while the broader market gets stronger, that can mean money is moving into other coins.

What I’m watching in November

  1. Bitcoin. Can BTC stay above $76K?
  2. Ethereum. Can ETH get stronger relative to Bitcoin and push altcoins up?
  3. The Fed. Inflation, rates, and overall stock market stability and strength.
  4. Market sentiment. Can Fear & Greed move out of Fear and back toward Neutral?

Bottom line

November starts with a market that still has work to do, but Q4 has traditionally been a strong time to end the year.

Let’s see what November brings!
